About Damouchari

Damouchari is located on the east coast of Pelion about 48 km from Volos. It is a very small community consisting of some traditional Pilionstill built houses, which gives Damouchari a complete charm, together with the natural harbor and the beautiful bay with its crystal clear water.
Damouchari is one of the most beautiful spots of the beautiful Pelion. Although it is a settlement off the beaten track, you can quickly reach some other places, where you can find entertainment and shopping. One of these places is Agios Ioannis in a distance of 4 km.
In Damouchari you will find a small grocery store and some taverns, which serve delicious dishes. Fish is in the first position. We also own a tavern right on the beach, where you can also have breakfast.

In the past, Damouchari had played an important role to the area and this conclusion can be pulled out from the remains of a Byzantine castle which is located just across our guesthouse.
A small and impressive road leads through olive groves and chestnut trees from the village to other places in the area. For those, who like to go fishing and swimming, and also windsurfing, water skiing or wish to practice other water sports, there is an the opportunity to enjoy all this, whether in Damouchari for some of these or in Agios Ioannis at about 4 from Damouchari.
Damouchari is suitable for children because of the gently sloping beach.
